MUSEUM TOURS
are conducted by either Margaret or Richard
Whitten (or both). Margaret’s tours are usually directed toward the
“general visitors”, while Richard may conduct a tour or “lecture” by special
appointment, usually for students or educators. In addition to her regular "Rainforest Education Tours", Margaret Whitten has become well known for her very popular "Arthropod Puppet Shows" for young children and their teachers!
RAINFOREST EDUCATION SEMINARS
Biology students, Educators, Naturalists, etc. may want to schedule one of biologist Richard Whitten's Rainforest Education Seminars. These are available by appointment and the cost per person is relative to the number of participants.
Whitten discusses many aspects of rain forest biology, with emphasis on BIODIVERSITY, ECOLOGY, and CONSERVATION. The Whittens came to Costa Rica six years ago to do their small part to educate Costa Ricans and tourists alike about the plight of the world's rapidly diminishing RAIN FORESTS.
The Whitten Collection is a spectacular vehicle to promote "RAIN FOREST AWARENESS"!
